The Rite of Christian Initiation for Adults (RCIA) is the process by which unbaptized persons and Christians from other denominations choose to enter the Catholic Church. It is also an opportunity for those who were baptized as Catholics but never lived the Faith to complete their sacraments and come to live as active Catholics.
RCIA consists of an extended period of learning about the Catholic Faith in which adults gain knowledge of Catholic teachings and seek to live in obedience to Jesus. Sessions take place once a week beginning in September, and the journey of faith culminates at the Easter Vigil in which the candidates make a life commitment to Jesus through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation, and Eucharist.
If you have been interested in the Catholic Faith or are a non-Catholic married to a Catholic who has wanted to share in your family's religious life more completely, the Catholic Church welcomes you and looks forward to you becoming part of our family of faith!
